Reviews

Steven Williams (fourth-year student)

"My experience training at TAC has been wholly positive and life-changing. I've been challenged and developed in ways I would not have imagined. I thank Rosalind and her team for the opportunity."

Nick Bamber (second-year student):

'My learning journey with Transactional Analysis Cymru feels like the most profound and valuable experience of my life so far. At the age of 55, I never expected to learn so much about myself, my cognitive landscape, and what ''makes us all tick'. The staff here are unparalleled in their knowledge, their teaching skills, and the warmth and pacing of their delivery. For those looking to start an incredible journey of self-awareness, self-discovery, and inner growth, I highly recommend TAC. The icing on the cake is that the team have also put so much effort into providing the most beautifully thought-out environment in which to learn - comfy sofas, comfy seats in a wonderfully restored building, all set in the most beautiful and peaceful landscape is possible to imagine. ''

Sarah Langstaff (Exam Group)

Training at Transactional Analysis Cymru (TAC) has been life-changing and has brought TA theory alive for me.

We have been taught the subject in such an experiential way that TA now feels like it is in my body and soul. I have been supported to achieve high-quality academic work and I have learned how to connect with others in a new, meaningful and transformative way.

TAC has helped me recognise my place within systems and how to connect with humans and the beyond human in new ways.

I graduated with a deep level of self-compassion, a greater understanding of the theory and an increased capacity to support others to understand their own process.'

'Louise Sykes (Third-year student.)

I have found the learning at TAC to be experiential and stimulating all the while feeling supported personally and academically. I have enjoyed Rosalind’s dynamic approach to teaching and although I have found the course challenging at times, I have always found Rosalind actively encouraging of individual learning styles and this is very much made aware of and promoted.

Integrally, TAC is a special environment for me; located in a uniquely peaceful and beautiful setting, it is a place where I have found personal and academic expression and a sense of community.'

James Sweeney TSTA - Learning facilitator at TAC

"There are many ways to learn to be a therapist. At TAC you will be offered a deep and meaningful learning experience that will enable you to grow your knowledge and understanding of yourself, others, society and the world in which we live. At TAC, you will be able to develop your sense of safety within the structure of the learning process.

You will need to bring yourself in all that you are and engage contactfully with your colleagues and tutors, take responsibility for your share of your learning process and bring your open curiosity about yourself, others and society.

Then be prepared to be amazed and deeply moved by yourself and those around you."

Chdel Cooke (Exam Group.)

'Being able to train in a manner that has supported both my personal and professional development, enabling me to set up and thrive in private practice with individuals, couples and groups, has been very rewarding.

I am confident that the depth and breadth of the training delivered indoors and in nature have equipped me to work creatively and responsively with people with a wide range of therapeutic needs and in various settings.

I appreciate the support that I have experienced in being part of a vibrant professional community which has enabled my ongoing growth and learning.

The nature of how training in Transactional Analysis happens at Transactional Analysis Cymru has provided a strong theoretical basis and a vital experience of the principles of TA being outworked through the relationships in the training school. This approach has supported my growth in awareness-raising, personal reflection, and professional identity development. Authentic and congruent interactions between group members facilitated access to a deeper understanding of human interactions, which has brought the theory alive and provided insight into my personal and professional understanding of how and why people act as they do.'

Holly Young (Exam Group)

'TAC offered me a place to grow both personally and professionally. It met my neurodivergent need for physicality- integrating the learning through mind and body. It's a beautiful place to learn, and the friendships I now have with those I have trained with are deeply special to me. I will always hold a heartfelt gratitude to Rosalind and the other trainers for all that they have offered.'

Louisa Clarke (second-year trainee

Training at TAC is a profound experience. The depth and quality of learning goes far beyond theory - it’s an immersive journey of self-awareness, understanding of other, emotional growth, skill building, relational intelligence and professional development.
The trainers not only bring years of experience, self-work and insight, but also deep attunement to each student, creating a learning environment that is as welcoming, and holding as it is challenging.
The setting of TAC is breathtaking, nestled in rural West Wales, nature at her most glorious providing the backdrop to this deep and meaningful work. The training space itself is cosy, comfy, welcoming and homely. It’s so thoughtfully designed to support our journeys.
If you’re considering training in Transactional Analysis, I cannot recommend TAC highly enough. It’s a place where you’ll be stretched, challenged, and grow in ways you never expected. A truly transformative experience.
