Psychotherapists, trainers and supervisors practising Transactional Analysis in our area
Helen Blackburn, PTSTA (P), UKCP, EATA.
“We often forget that WE ARE NATURE. Nature is not something separate from us. So that when we say that we’ve lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.” Andy Goldsworthy
I am a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (PTSTA) based in rural Wales, where I provide psychotherapy, supervision and training, both indoors and outdoors. I have developed my practise in partnership with Ffynnon Dawel woodland, and my work is held gently yet firmly within the context of Ecological TA.
Psychotherapy
I offer in person psychotherapy outdoors and under canvas at Ffynnon Dawel, and indoors at the Natural Healing Centre in Cardigan. I work with individual adults and teenagers, couples and family groups. Some of my clients work with me for several years, some for a few months, depending on the outcome they are seeking to achieve. I believe that it is deeply beneficial to include our reciprocal relationship with the land in the process of psychotherapy. Remembering our interconnectedness helps us make sense of who we are and how we belong.
Supervision
I offer one-to-one or three-person group supervision, in person or online. In-person supervisees meet with me at Ffynnon Dawel, and depending on the time of year we will either meet outdoors or in a cosy yurt. I hold all the supervision qualifications needed to support you in your practise as a counsellor or psychotherapist, including working towards Diploma, UKCP and CTA endorsements. Supervision here at Ffynnon Dawel provides a calm, spacious time for shared reflection and encouragement. As you connect with nature you will find your confidence growing as a practitioner.
Training
Most trainees will find gaps in their CPD hours, and I offer an exciting range of CPD training courses for psychotherapists and counsellors, with the emphasis on developing an ecological approach to theory and practise. These are held seasonally over a weekend, working closely with the land at Ffynnon Dawel in Ceredigion and at Pennant Valley in Powys. Come and add value to your connection with nature, as well as developing your TA portfolio.
